Overview & Highlights

Nestled on Via Saverio Baldacchini in the heart of Naples, Caffé degli Orefici is an authentic espresso bar that offers much more than just a caffeine fix. This charming neighborhood spot perfectly captures the warm, inviting spirit of Naples with its genuine hospitality and relaxed ambiance.

From the moment you step up to the bar, you're greeted with friendly smiles from the couple who run the place, setting a comforting tone that makes you feel instantly at home. The coffee here is exceptional—many visitors rave about the cappuccino being the best they've ever tasted, a rich and velvety experience that lingers on the palate with just the right balance of boldness and creaminess. Whether you’re pausing for an espresso while running errands or settling in with friends, the quality and care put into every cup are unmistakable.

What truly stands out at Caffé degli Orefici is their thoughtful attention to detail and genuine care for guests. One customer recalls how the owner kindly brought them water when they were coughing, while another appreciated the little touches like warming up bread to enjoy alongside their drink. Their selection of pastries, including fresh cornettas filled with chocolate, pistachio, and cream, offers an authentic taste of Naples, each bite a delightful combination of flaky, buttery crust and luscious fillings that perfectly complement the robust coffee.

The atmosphere is quietly lively, with many local neighbors gathering here to catch up, creating a sense of community that's hard to find in busier, tourist-packed venues. The seating is outdoors on a terrace where smoking is allowed, which adds a certain vibrant, casual charm but might require some consideration for those sensitive to smoke—yet enjoying your coffee at the counter offers a more intimate and budget-friendly option.

Located near the port, this espresso bar is a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city’s tourist hotspots. Its fair prices, prompt service, and delicious snacks make it an ideal stop whether you're waiting for a boat, taking a break while doing laundry nearby, or simply wanting to savor authentic Neapolitan flavors in a welcoming environment.

If you’re looking for an espresso bar that feels like a home away from home, complete with genuine warmth, excellent coffee, and delightful pastries, Caffé degli Orefici is a must-visit. Time spent here isn’t just about the coffee—it’s about soaking in local life and returning with a richer, more heartfelt experience of Naples.

A true neighborhood coffee shop. The two owners are so kind and welcoming. They’ll even warm up your bread in the microwave. Highly recommended!

We had a coffee with friends and tried their pastries as we were waiting for the boat. We tried Fresh cornetta with chocolate, pistachio and cream. Nice flavours and many choices!! People who work here are very friendly and polite. They brought our order quickly and everything was perfect. Highlight recommended!!

Visited several times on my trip to Naples. Best cappuccino I’ve ever had!

I stopped here for an espresso while I was waiting for my laundry. The lady was really nice , I hope my Italian can be better. Lots of local neighbors are gathering here too. I like the environment. Please be aware, there is only sitting outside, the terrace and smoking allowed. If you are allergic to the cigarettes, ask drink your coffee by the counter, it is cheaper too.

A very pleasant spot near the port in Naples. The area is quiet and peaceful, not touristy at all, which we really appreciated. Many places operate on a schedule, but we were lucky to find a great bar with friendly, smiling people. The atmosphere was cozy, the prices were fair, and the snacks were delicious. We’ll definitely come back!

Delicious coffee and pastries here! The owner is incredibly nice and came to give me water when she noticed I was coughing. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the hospitality!

Very nice couple who runs this place. Food and drinks were delicious!
